Weekend Update, No. 23

Sorry for the lapse last weekend.  With all the insanity only continuing to build, we had to stop for a breather, but are now back though with a particularly light menu.

Greenspan In Elite Plot? by The Daily Bell
Reads a bit like fantasy to us -- for once in the good way.  If you haven't read Greenspan's magnificent essay "Gold and Economic Freedom" written in 1966, you need to now.

Battle Begins for 2012 GOP Contenders, by Brian Montopoli
Ron Paul heads the CBS poll.  But look for the smear campaign to heat up in the near future, and for the elite's favorite, Romney, to move to the front. (Update -- the description of this post was written before Romney won the straw poll at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.  Some things are all too easy to foresee once you start paying attention to how things work.)

Jeffersonian Conservatism versus the Neocons, by Nelson Hultberg
Excellent historical summary and explanation of the neocon usurpation of conservatism.

Water Scarcity Promotion Begins? by The Daily Bell
Get in on the ground floor.

It's Time to Part Company, by Walter Williams
"If one group of people prefers government control and management of people's lives, and another prefers liberty and a desire to be left alone, should they be required to fight, antagonize one another, and risk bloodshed and loss of life in order to impose their preferences, or should they be able to peaceably part company and go their separate ways?"  Great article with a convincing answer ten years ago.

Sunday, Bloody Sunday by James Quinn
PB chooses "Black Sunday."  A week later BP (Burning Platform, Quinn's site) opts for "Bloody Sunday."  Both accurately describe 3/21/10.  The consequences will surpass those of 9/11/01.

Doctor tells Obama supporters: Go elsewhere for health care, by Stephen Hudak
Appropriately enraged physician takes matters into his own hands, while still able.  "Changes to your healthcare begin right now.  Not in four years."

On the Multiple Death Threats I Have Received, by Robert Wenzel
And that you have, too.

  1. Thanks for the feedback. PB scours the net finding the hardest hitting articles and brings them to you each week. We also post a bit of original work and an occasional music video. Hope you'll make PB a regular stop.
